Miami-Florida- South Florida PBS is delighted to announce that one of the episodes, “Habitats: The Key to Florida’s Fisheries”, of its award-winning original production, Changing Seas, has been officially selected for the online component of the 6th Annual World Whale Film Festival. The festival’s selection criteria were based on choosing powerful films that reflect the importance of ocean and wildlife conservation and inspire environmental stewardship. Participating in the World Whale Film Festival will provide Changing Seas the opportunity to increase its reach and to share one of its stories with an international audience to connect, inspire and spark action for a better future.
The online festival, which theme this year is ‘Inspiring Action for A Better, Bluer Future’, will take place from June 8-30 through the World Whale Film Festival website: www.pacificwhale.org/filmfest. “We are very honored to have been chosen to showcase Changing Seas’ “Habitat: The Key to Florida’s Fisheries”,” stated Alexa Elliott, Manager of Science & Environmental Content.
