Miami, FL – At South Florida PBS (WPBT, WXEL, and Health Channel) we hope the new month is filled with good health and happiness. Tune in this April for the programs you and your family love and an abundance of new premieres with a focus on environmentalism.

This month we celebrate Earth Day with programs like Changing Planet II, American Experience – The Sun Queen, 8 Billion Angels, NOVA – Arctic Sinkholes and more! Don’t miss exciting premieres this month like Crossing Overtown, La Frontera with Pati Jinich, The Story of Queen Victoria, and My Grandparents War.

Also airing this month are exciting new seasons and series finales of PBS favorites like Midsomer Murders, Sanditon, Father Brown, and Call the Midwife! South Florida PBS has something for everyone this April with classic movies like Yours, Mine and Ours and The Man in the White Suit. Don’t miss a new installment of our current affairs show, Your South Florida - Autism Awareness!

South Florida PBS stays committed to celebrating the arts with programs like Great Performances at The Met: La Traviata, and more! Don’t miss South Florida PBS original production On the Town in The Palm Beaches “Health and Wellness” to learn about all things health in Palm Beach County.

Also premiering this April is the South Florida PBS original production in partnership with The Werthheim UF Scripps Institute Research Detectives on WPBT, WXEL and the Health Channel! Host Trace Dominguez gives viewers an inside look at the tremendous scientific effort involved in finding effective treatments for Dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease.

South Florida PBS will be attending the Sun Sentinel PRIME Expo at The Westin in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday, April 15th from 10-4PM. Join us to meet host of Between the Covers Ann Bocock and author Robert Watson, host of Sex Talk, Dr. Lia, and more. Stop by the South Florida PBS room at the Expo for fun giveaways, live discussions, screenings, and more!

On Monday, April 17th at 6PM join South Florida PBS at La Cañita Cuban Restaurant in Miami for a Check, Please! South Florida Season 20 Premiere Party! Meet chef and host Michelle Bernstein for a premiere event with light bites, drinks, music and more. Be among the first to see the premiere of the latest season of this hit show.

Join us at the Arts Warehouse in Delray Beach on Wednesday, April 19th at 6PM for the premiere event for the latest installment of On the Town in The Palm Beaches – Health and Wellness! HEALTH CHANNEL:

A fascinating new series, Research Detectives, developed in partnership with The Werthheim UF Scripps Institute will air this month on South Florida PBS and the Health Channel.
