CELEBRATING AMERICA:
We hope you tune in to enjoy our premiere program thisJuly, A Capitol Fourth. For over 40 years, this television event, featuring a parade of superstars — including Frankie Valli, Patti LaBelle, John Williams, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Reba McEntire, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton, Josh Groban, Gloria Estefan, Kenny Rogers, and the Muppets from Sesame Street — has offered the best in American entertainment and helped set the tone for a spectacular American birthday party. Watch A Capitol Fourth at 8PM on Thursday, July 4th on WPBT & WXEL.
Also airing this July are patriotic programs like Iconic America with David Rubenstein, Benjamin Franklin – A Ken Burns Film, America the Bountiful, Great Yellowstone Thaw, and more.
OLYMPIC PRIDE:
As we look forward to the 2024 Summer Olympics, we celebrate success with programs such as American Experience – The Boys of ’36, Olympic Pride, American Prejudice, American Experience – Jesse Owens, Gods of Tennis, and more.
The 2024 Summer Olympics begin on Friday, July 26th in Paris, France.
SUMMER DRAMA:
Dive back into the drama you love this July on South Florida PBS! Enjoy the new seasons of Professor T, D.I. Ray, COBRA, and Hotel Portofino. Do not miss the season 9 premiere of Grantchester featuring new vicar Reverend Alphy Kottaram.
COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT:
Join us this July at a variety of events throughout the South Florida community. We are happy to bring a number of KidVision Full STEAM Ahead events to the tri-county area this summer. We will be at various events in Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach County this July and August teaching kids STEAM skills and giving out fun take home prizes!
We hope to see you at our Changing Seas screening event and live talk back with scientists at NSU Dania Beach Halmos College of Arts & Sciences on Wednesday, July 17th.

KIDS & EDUCATION:
KidVision Full STEAM Ahead returns for its fourth season! This time, Miss Penny and the KidVision team are exploring STEAM skills right in the kitchen. Don your chef's hat and dive into lessons on science, technology, engineering, art, and math, all from the comfort of your home. The new season of KidVision Full STEAM Ahead will run for seven weeks starting June 17, available on WPBT, WXEL, and YouTube.
KidVision Music Time Season 3: In the latest season, Miss Penny discovers a new composer each month! Watch classical composers come to life as they meet Miss Penny and the KidVision kids, displaying their timeless music performed by the Florida Youth Orchestra. KidVision Music Time Season 3 will debut monthly on-air and on YouTube with the next episode premiering on July 15th.

This July, the Health Channel proudly presents a lineup of programs that delve into important issues, including an exclusive Sex Talk Town Hall, probing cannabis legalization, and elevating your morning routine!
Host Dr. Lia Jiannine and Correspondent Derek Latta are back in the studio answering the questions you always wanted to ask in special Sex Talk Town Halls. Dr. Lia tackles questions like how to know if the person you’re speaking with online is real, how to let your partner know you’re “in the mood”, and whether building anticipation for “scheduled romance” can enhance your enjoyment of “togetherness.” They also discuss the value of testosterone therapy and highlight special foods that can add some spice to your time in the bedroom. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 12 at 11 AM for an Instagram Live episode on @AllHealthGo featuring Barbara Krantz, D.O., MS, DFASAM, MRO, Caron's Medical Director of the Older Adults Program in Florida Therapy. Dr. Krantz will discuss a recent JAMA study highlighting a significant increase in emergency department visits for cannabis poisoning among older adults, attributed to accidental ingestion, improper dosing, and age-related vulnerabilities following the legalization of edible cannabis.
Also airing this month is Ask the Doc: No Appointment Needed, a Health Channel series that brings medical experts directly to you. Whether you have a question about back pain, concerns about your child’s flu symptoms, or everyday health questions, viewers can submit their health questions and receive real-time responses from qualified experts.
