South Florida PBS (WPBT, WXEL, & Health Channel) is thrilled to invite you to an evening celebrating the art of filmmaking. Join us on Thursday, June 13th, at 7:00 PM at the iconic Savor Cinema Fort Lauderdale for the film-maker Season 6 Screening & Talkback, an event filled with film screenings, engaging discussions, and exciting entertainment.
The evening will commence with a pre-screening cocktail reception, offering guests the opportunity to mingle while enjoying music by DJ Dre Vendetta. Adding to the excitement, a fun photobooth activation will be available, allowing attendees to capture memorable moments from the night.
Following the reception, we will present a highlights reel featuring all nine of our Season 6 winning films. This curated selection showcases the exceptional talent and creativity of our filmmakers, providing a glimpse into the diverse and compelling stories from this season.
After the screenings, South Florida PBS Principal Director of Content, Melissa Harmon will host a talk-back session with the filmmakers. This interactive discussion will offer insights into the creative processes behind the films, the challenges faced during production, and the inspirations that drive these talented individuals.
This event promises to be a celebration of cinema and culture, offering attendees a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of filmmaking and connect with artists and enthusiasts alike.
