Miami, FL – South Florida PBS (WPBT, WXEL, and Health Channel) announces the conclusion of ‘Da Vinci – An Immersive Experience,’ which delighted audiences at South Florida PBS Studios in Boynton Beach from November 2024 through April 2025. This groundbreaking immersive experience was a resounding success, welcoming more than 40,200 visitors, hosting over 12 dynamic community events, and providing enriching, cost-free field trips to 4,504 local students.

"We are incredibly proud of how 'Da Vinci – An Immersive Experience' has resonated with our South Florida community. Welcoming over 40,200 visitors and providing free educational experiences to more than 4,500 students demonstrate our commitment to making arts and culture accessible to everyone. This exhibition perfectly aligned with our mission to inspire, educate, and connect through innovative programming. The overwhelming positive response confirms that there is a genuine hunger for these immersive cultural experiences, and we're excited to continue this momentum with our next installation coming in Fall 2025,” said South Florida PBS President and CEO Dolores Fernandez Alonso.

A TRANSFORMATIVE JOURNEY THROUGH ART & HISTORY:
Direct from Amsterdam and produced by Phoenix Immersive Ltd, the award-winning ‘Da Vinci’ exhibit offered a unique, multisensory journey into the world of Leonardo da Vinci. Through vivid projections, interactive installations, and multimedia displays, guests were able to step inside da Vinci’s masterpieces, inventions, and notebooks, exploring over 50 of his most celebrated works—including The Litta Madonna, Virgin of the Rocks, The Baptism of Christ, and his iconic ornithopter.

A COMMUNITY ENRICHED BY THE LEGACY OF DAVINCI:
The exhibit’s success is measured not only in attendance, but in its impact on the community. South Florida PBS was honored to host a diverse audience of art lovers, families, students, and lifelong learners. Many guests described the experience as “unforgettable” and praised its innovative approach to connecting audiences with culture through immersive technology.

A FREE EDUCATIONAL TOOL FOR TEACHERS AND STUDENTS ALIKE:
Demonstrating a deep commitment to educational outreach, South Florida PBS provided free field trips for schools across Palm Beach and Broward counties. Teachers were equipped with lesson plans tailored to enhance learning for elementary, middle, and high school students. These resources seamlessly integrated with curriculum standards, inspiring students to further explore the intersections of art, science, and innovation. Title 1 students also received a complimentary book on Leonardo da Vinci, ensuring the experience left a lasting educational imprint.

Through the course of the immersive experience, South Florida PBS hosted 72 schools and 11 homeschool groups through 123 field trips. Several Title 1 schools throughout Palm Beach, and Broward were invited to attend this event as well as several youth organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club.

"Thanks to the generous support of foundations and philanthropists, we were able to create a meaningful educational experience that reached over 600 teachers and thousands of students," explained South Florida PBS Sr. Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Education Outreach Jeneissy Azcuy. "This immersive opportunity allowed participants to connect with and learn from a historical figure who truly exemplified innovative thinking."

LOOKING AHEAD:
As we bid farewell to the “DaVinci – An Immersive Experience,” South Florida PBS remains committed to delivering exceptional arts, culture, and educational programming to our community. Stay tuned for an exciting announcement about our next immersive experience, set to debut at South Florida PBS Studios in Fall 2025.
