Miami, FL - South Florida PBS (WPBT, WXEL, & Health Channel) is excited to announce the new season of Check, Please! South Florida premieres on Monday, April 17th at 7:30PM on WPBT and Wednesday, April 19th at 5:30PM on WXEL. Join host and James Beard Foundation Award recipient Chef Michelle Bernstein as she gives amateur foodies the opportunity to review, rate and celebrate their favorite local restaurants. This series offers everyday food critics the opportunity to celebrate their favorite restaurants and meals with Chef Bernstein!

This premiere is made even more special after the series’ 2022 Suncoast Emmy® Award win this past December. - On this season premiere episode, viewers will get a taste of the New Orleans Cajun flair via Voodoo Bayou in Palm Beach Gardens. Grab a delicious homemade pastry at contemporary gourmet cafe Aioli in West Palm Beach. And enjoy a not to be missed Cuban food experience at Caribbean Grill in Boca Raton.

- On this episode, Sardinian cuisine takes center stage at Zona Blu in Weston. Casa Sensei in Fort Lauderdale proves that the increasingly popular Pan-Asian Latin Fusion flavor is here to stay. And Tower Deli, a decades long family favorite in Davie reintroduces itself.

- On this episode, the legendary Little Havana neighborhood cements its reputation as a national food authority thanks to the delicious flavors and outstanding atmosphere provided by Doce Provisions. West Pembroke Pines gets a dose of Mediterranean flavor with Mazza. And beloved seafood restaurant The Fish Grill continues to bring in the crowds in Dania Beach.

- Hailing from Egypt, Chef Shabo Emara has brought his most unique and delicious recipes to his namesake restaurant Shabo’s Mediterranean Barbecue in Downtown Hollywood. Warm and traditional Colombian flavors delight guests at La Pequeña Colombia in Weston. And colanders make an unexpected appearance at Scolapasta in Fort Lauderdale.

- On this episode, Southwestern Europe meets the Southeastern Coast of Florida at Andalucía Tapas Bar & Restaurant in Jupiter. And you will be invited to disconnect from your devices and enjoy a book and delicious cafecito of course at Tinta y Café in Coral Gables.

- The season will close with a nostalgic trip to South Africa with Dutchy’s Gourmet Sausages in Plantation. Suburbia meets sophistication at Warren American Whiskey Kitchen in Delray Beach, and you will be dined and serenated at La Veranda in Pompano Beach.
