This month kicks off with the eagerly awaited landmark 21st season of Check, Please! South Florida featuring iconic Chef Michelle Bernstein. This season promises to continue its tradition of exploring the vibrant culinary scene in South Florida with local foodies showcases their favorite restaurants in the tri-county area.
Viewers will enjoy thought-provoking programs with local connections this month, including Film-maker: Flip the Script, Reel South - Veritas, We’re All Plastic People Now, and Perfect House, Magic City.
HONORING EARTH DAY:
In recognition of Earth Day, South Florida PBS is proud to present a special lineup of programs focused on environmental conservation and awareness. Highlights include We’re All Plastic People Now, Changing Seas, NOVA - The Great American Eclipse, A Brief History of The Future, and Women of the Watershed. These programs offer viewers a chance to deepen their understanding of the planet we call home.
ARTS & CULTURE SHOWCASE:
This month, South Florida PBS takes pride in offering a rich selection of arts and culture programming. Notable programs include Elton John & Bernie Taupin: The Library of Congress Gershwin Prize, Next at The Kennedy Center: Joshua Redman - Where Are We, Nadiya Ukraine: The National Ballet of Ukraine - Live at Steinmetz Hall, and Great Performances at The Met: Florencia en el Amazonas.

Engagement with the South Florida community continues to be a cornerstone of South Florida PBS’s mission. South Florida PBS is thrilled to announce the premiere of the second season of the children’s educational television series, KidVision Mission! Join iconic KidVision host and South Florida PBS Education Director, Miss Penny, the KidVision kids, and Shiny the Star, as they take on ten all-new missions to explore topics like art, nature, conservation, reading, and more. Watch KidVision Mission season 2, Sundays on WPBT at 9:30AM and Saturdays on WXEL at 9:30AM.
