PROTECT MY SOUTH FLORIDA PBS
Now is the time to speak up for public media and our local South Florida PBS station!
The White House issued an Executive Order calling on the Corporation for Public Broadcasting to immediately cease funding to PBS and NPR. This is a move that marks the start of a broader effort potentially weaken public media. This would impact trusted sources like South Florida PBS and countless others that communities rely on every day.
We urge you to please join voices across the country. Reach out to your congressional representatives and let them know you value the role public media plays in our society.

The Power of Public Media: Connecting Our South Florida Community
Since our founding 70 years ago, South Florida PBS has remained committed to enriching the lives of our diverse and vibrant community through the transformative power of public media. As Florida’s largest public media company, serving approximately 6.5 million viewers from Key West to the Sebastian Inlet and west to Lake Okeechobee, we proudly connect people of all ages and backgrounds through storytelling that educates, inspires, and uplifts.
More than just a broadcaster, South Florida PBS is a trusted source for essential PBS programming—including Masterpiece, the powerful documentaries of Ken
Burns, All Creatures Great & Small, and Finding Your Roots with Dr. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.—as well as acclaimed local productions and impactful community outreach. Whether it's through Check, Please! South Florida, Art Loft, the Health Channel, or KidVision Pre-K, we celebrate the creativity, culture, and voices that define our region.
As federal support for public media faces significant challenges, our commitment remains steadfast. We continue to deliver trusted and award-winning programming, and lifelong learning opportunities offering everyone access to meaningful stories and information that matter.
At South Florida PBS, we believe public media is for everyone. Everything we do, from producing local shows to leading literacy initiatives and wellness campaigns, is guided by one goal: to serve and enrich you.
